Phillip McKell
Phillip McKell is a character that appears in the novel, Support and Defend.
Biography
McKell is a former systems infrastructure analyst for a government contractor. In 2010, he contacted by Mohammed Mobasheri who sought to exploit a National Security Council staffer named Ethan Ross and the international whistleblowing organization known as the International Transparency Project which Ross is associated with. Mobasheri agreed to pay McKell a large amount of money in in exchange for proving a means of scraping the government's servers for classified data. McKell meets Mobasheri at a motel and gives him a thumb drive with special software on it to perform the task. Instead of getting paid by Mobasheri, however, McKell is killed by Mobasheri's men.
