Completely understandable. I thought the very same thing when I first joined. Pretty much all the categories here are in singular form and it would take weeks if not months to change all the articles on the wiki. The more I thought about it though, it can be justified that while the category features multiple organizations, the article one is reading is just an organization, thus the article is an organization article.
