Template:UAV The Tu-3 is a UAV in use by the Russian Federation's Spetsnaz Guard Brigades. It is typically deployed from a MAZ-660 King Spider.
Overview
Though technologically crude next to its US and European counterparts, this armed UAV is extremely durable and capable of bringing a surprising amount of firepower to bear, especially if used in massed attacks. Designed for short-range work, it is often deployed by MAZ-660 King Spider command support vehicles.[1]
The Tu-3 has the capacity to be launched from rails deployed on the battlefield.[2]
Trivia
- In-game, the Tu-3 is unique in that it is clearly a fixed-wing catapult-launched non-VTOL drone, yet it also hovers over a target in one spot, even though the game guide notes it lacks VTOL and hover capabilities. In EndWar Online, the Tu-3 does possess wing tip vertical thrusters however.
