Dr. Helen Powers is a character that appears in the novel, Full Force and Effect.
Biography
A geologist, she was hired to work at the mine in the city of Chongju, North Korea in 2010. Unbeknownst to Powers, the rare-earth minerals taken from the mine are being used to fund North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
