Ryanverse series

The Ryanverse series revolves around the exploits of Jack Ryan, Sr., and later Jack Ryan, Jr.. Also common protagonists are John Clark and later his son-in-law Domingo Chavez.

Splinter Cell series

The Splinter Cell book series serves as a set of tie-in novels to the Splinter Cell games, and as such primarily feature Third Echelon agent Sam Fisher. Unlike the Ryanverse series, these are not a full story in themselves, instead mostly serving to fill in chronological gaps in between games, or continue the story of one.

Endwar series

The Endwar series serves as a set of tie-in novels to the game Tom Clancy's Endwar. It is a combination of short stories explaining what has happened to the protagonists of various other video game franchises including Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, H.A.W.X. and Rainbow Six, as well as a series of full novels that provide an alternate and more in-depth account of the events of the game.

Standalone novels

Some of Clancy's fictional works that are standalone novels and not meant to tie into any greater universe are listed here.

Non-Fiction work

Tom Clancy wrote a number of non-fictional books about the military during his life. He also cooperated with a number of Generals to write biographies on them.
