The PP-19 Vityaz (also known as the PP-19-01 “Vityaz-SN”) is a 9×19mm Parabellum submachine gun developed in 2004 by Russian small arms manufacturer Izhmash. It is based on the AK-74 and offers a high degree of parts commonality with the AK-74. The gun is directly developed from the PP-19 Bizon.

The PP-19 Vityaz is featured in several installments of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Franchise and is designated as the 9x19VSN.

The 9×19VSN is a submachine gun featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It is available for use by Kapkan, Tachanka, and Azami.

Overview

The 9×19VSN, this submachine gun possesses a rather unique damage model, with a moderately subpar rate of fire compensated by an above-average damage per shot, capable of taking down Light Armored Operators in three shots at optimal range. The weapon is easily controllable thanks to its low recoil and rate of fire, while a drawback is its relatively steep damage dropoff.

  • The name 9×19VSN is the abbreviation of using the digits from 9×19mm caliber and "Vityaz-SN"
  • On the 9×19VSN Industrial skin, small "[--]7" emoticons can be seen printed side of the gun. It is a reference to the community meme of "{-}7", which represents the Operator Tachanka saluting in his helmet.[1]
  • The model of the 9×19VSN is heavily outfitted with ZenitCo furniture, including a PT-1 folding stock, B-10 railed handguard, B-12 upper rail, and B-13 railed dovetail optic mount, which is permanently attached even when no optics are equipped for the gun.
