Rainbow Six:AUG
The AUG (German:Armee-Universal-Gewehr), also known as the StG.77, is a bullpup assault rifle manufactured by Steyr Mannlicher that chambers the 5.56x45mm NATO round. The AUG features a progressive trigger that allows it to fire in semi-automatic and fully-automatic by the pressure exerted on the trigger. The AUG in this case, therefore lacks the conventional fire selector seen on other firearms. The AUG also features an integrated 1.5x magnification scope known as the Swarovski Scope, which is detachable in later variants.
There are variants of the AUG that appear in the Rainbow Six universe. These variants are the AUG A2 and AUG A3.
- The AUG A2 variant is similar to the original AUG but carries the ability to remove the telescopic scope attached to the top, to be replaced with a top rail.
- The AUG A3 variant is similar to the AUG A2 but features an external bolt release and a top rail attached automatically.
The AUG, AUG A2 and AUG A3 are categorized as assault rifles in the Rainbow Six universe.
Rogue Spear
The 5.56mm AUG AR is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear.
The standard weapon of the Austrian Army, the 5.56mm AUG AR is a futuristic looking assault rifle with a compact bullpup design. It is well suited for missions requiring the maneuverability of a submachine gun combined with the punch of an assault rifle.

Overview
The AUG A2 is a Jack-of-all-Trades assault rifle thanks to its low recoil, decent damage and fire rate. This allows it to perform well on both Attack and Defense while still being easy to control. A downside of this gun is its inability to equip any grips.

In the Neutralize Cell Situation, the character plays as IQ equipped with an AUG A2 with the Scope 2.5x and Suppressor attachments, and a P12 as a sidearm. In these game modes, Terrorists often use this weapon quite frequently.
