Renée Moore
Renée Michelle Moore is a character that appears in the novel, Firing Point.
Biography
Renée Moore was born to two corporate executives who had groomed her to eventually share the same lifestyle. She later attended Georgetown University where she shared several senior finance classes with Jack Ryan, Jr.. Moore had a brief but intense relationship with Ryan but ended it to pursue her dream of running and owning an investment firm on Wall Street. After graduating in the early 2000s, Moore went would go on to join the CIA. As part of her cover, she bacame the vice president of marketing for a fintech start up company based in Silicon Valley called CrowdScope.
In 2011, Moore traveled to Barcelona, Spain to meet with a data scientist named Dylan Runtso. Runtso had been working on a top secret government program codenamed RAPTURE which was under threat of being stolen by a man using the alias Sammler. Moore arrived at the meeting point which was at a resturant called L'avi and was surprised to be greeted by Jack Ryan Jr. who was in Barcelona on vacation. The two briefly caught up and agreed to meet later that night for drinks. She then gave him her buisness card to call her later as he was leaving to visit a meuseum. Moments after Ryan walked out of the resturant, however, a suicide bomber entered and blew up the resturant. The blast mortally wounded Moore and she was soon found by Ryan. Moore opened her eyes one last time to see Ryan and uttered the word "Sammler" before she passed away.
