Walter "Wally" Hicks is a character that appears in the novel, Without Remorse.
Biography
In 1970, Hicks worked as an aide to the National Security Advisor. Following the revelation that mission to save Robin Zacharias and other POWs from a secret NVA camp, codenamed Boxwood Green, had been burned by a KGB mole, CIA Agent Robert Ritter incorrectly identified Hicks as the KGB mole. This subsequently resulted in Hicks' death at the hands of John Kelly who used a heroin overdose to cover up the assassination.
The real mole is later revealed to be Peter Henderson who was caught in 1984 by the CIA.
