Biography
Clear and Present Danger
In 1988, SMSgt Buck Zimmer was worked as a crew chief for the Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low Helicopter for covert troop insertions. Following the abadonment of a black ops U.S. military team in Colombia by the U.S. Government, Jack Ryan and John Clark enlisted Zimmer's help in traveling to Colombia for a rescue attempt. Zimmer was mortally wounded by ground fire during the rescue and later died in Ryan's arms. Ryan later vows to provide financial support to Zimmer's Laotian wife and seven children living in Flordia.
