Dick Dellinger is a character that appears in the novel, Firing Point.

Biography

Dellinger was the CIA Chief of Station in Barcelona, Spain. Publically, he worked as the U.S. Consulate of the Public Diplomacy Section. In 2020, Dellinger met with Jack Ryan, Jr. who arrived at the U.S. Consulate in Spain to report the death of Renée Moore. Ryan told her how she had died and that she seemed to be meeting someone when he briefly caught up with her. Dellinger was surprised when Ryan told him that he spoke with CNI agents at the scene and was annoyed that they did not tell the consulate about the death of a U.S. citizen. He then asked Ryan about his line of work before Ryan abruptly departed to meet with Laia Brossa. Dellinger then had an intern named Sam Davis follow Ryan and report that he had entered the Guardia Civil building to speak to someone.
