Elena Iliescu, is a character that appears in the novel, Line of Sight.
Biography
In 2011, Elena worked as an assassin for a secret crime network called the Iron Syndicate. She was later tasked by the syndicate's leader, Vladimir Vasilev, with killing Campus agent Jack Ryan, Jr. and ex-senator Weston Rhodes as revenge for the death of his colleague Tervel Zvezdev. While Rhodes is later killed in his prison cell, Ryan manages survives Iliescu's assassination attempt. For her failure, Vasilev silenced her by inducing a heart attack.
