Father Joseph Morel is a character that appears in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.

Biography

Father Morel is a well known priest in his community. In 2018, he was murdered in an alleyway by Jabir Zarif and Amer Soudani on the orders of Ali bin Suleiman. His death was no clear message but the ink and quill Mousa bin Suleiman needed to send a message. His funeral consisted of over 300 people, some of which were American citizens. Suleiman launched a chemical attack at the Cathedral where his funeral took place killing everyone inside. This acted as a declaration of war by Suleiman to the United States and the start of a new recruitment drive to his cause.
