Yen
Dr. Yen is a character that appears in Season 1 of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.
Biography
In 2018, Dr. Yen worked at Washington Memorial Hospital. She later administered an MRI scan on Jack Ryan to check his back due to injuries he had suffered while at a CIA black site in Yemen. While reviewing the scan, Yen noted that Ryan had had his L4 and L5 vertebrae fused together which was the result of a helicopter crash he had been involved with years earlier. Yen told Ryan that considering the amount of surgeries he had undergone after the crash, he had gotten off lucky. She did note that Ryan had some inflammation around his spinal cord and a moderate lumbar sprain. She then told Ryan that she could prescribe him hydrocodone with ibuprofen. Ryan declined the offer, telling her he did not take pills. As a result, Yen told him that he could use ice to reduce the swelling and do yoga for core strengthening. With their appointment finished, Ryan asked Yen where epidemiology was located in the hospital so that he could speak with Dr. Cathy Mueller.
