Mikhail Yureyovich
Dr. Mikhail Petrovitch Yureyovich (Russian: Михаил Петрович Юрьевич) is a character that appears in the film, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
Biography
Mikhail Yureyovich served in the Soviet War in Afghanistan in the 1980s where he met Viktor Cherevin. The two became friends and kept in contact over the years. At some point, Yureyovich moved to the United States and bought a farm in Pennsylvania. Yureyovich kept in contact with Cherevin's son, Aleksandr Borovsky, who had been sent to the United States in 2000 to act a sleeper agent for the Russian Government. In 2013, Aleksandr and his foster family, The Borovskys, were activated to conduct a terrorist attack on Wall Street. Aleksandr saw his foster family as a loose end and killed them before they could carry out their mission. Aleksandr then traveled to Yureyovich's farm to dress up a stolen van as a police response vehicle in order to infiltrate Wall Street with a bomb he had assembled. CIA analyst Jack Ryan later discovered the location of the farm after learning of Yureyovich's connection to Viktor Cherevin. An FBI SWAT team soon arrived at the farm and found the components and paint Aleksandr had used to construct his fake police vehicle.
