Ted Hefferman
Ted Hefferman is a character that appears in the film, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
Biography
In 2013, Ted Hefferman works at a bank on Wall Street alongside Jack Ryan. Unbeknownst to Hefferman, Ryan is a covert CIA analyst tasked with auditing suspicious financial transactions that indicate terrorist activity.
Hefferman buys a motorcycle to impress a girl he likes named Sarah in the bank's arbitrage department. Upon seeing Hefferman arrive to work with the motorcycle, Ryan deduces the reason that he had bought it. Later that day, Ryan refers Sarah to Ted to help her with the Balfour Arbitrage. Ecstatic, Ted thanks Ryan in passing.
A few days later, Ryan infiltrated Viktor Cherevin's offices in Moscow. Ryan calls Hefferman and asks him to connect him to their boss Rob Behringer. Before he does so, he informs Ryan that Sarah has agreed to go to dinner with him. The next day, police are swarming Wall Street due to the threat of a terrorist attack by Aleksandr Borovsky. Ryan discovers Borvosky's fake police vehicle and is met by Ted who asks him what is going on. Ryan then commandeers Ted's motorcycle to chase Borvosky and stop the detonation of a bomb.
