Raizo Yamata is a character that appears in the novel, Debt of Honor.
Biography
In 1944 during World War II, Yamata's family committed suicide on Banzai Cliff in Saipan in order to prevent capture by American forces. This motivated Yamata to take revenge on the United States. He eventually became the chairman of a large conglomerate in Japan and the leader of the zaibatsu. In 1995, he sought to carry out his plans for revenge by becoming the sole architect behind the war between the U.S. and Japan.
