Torajiro Sato is a character that appears in the novel, Debt of Honor.

Biography

Torajiro Sato was a pilot of Japan Airlines. In 1995, his brother Yusuo Sato and son Shiro Sato were killed in the war between Japan and the United States. Embittered by their deaths, he exacted his revenge by killing his copilot while flying a Boeing 747 and flying it into the U.S. Capitol building during a special joint session of Congress. While the crash resulted in his death, he succeeded in killing the majority of the U.S. Government's leadership, including President Roger Durling. This resulted in recently sworn-in Vice President Jack Ryan assuming the office of the President.
