V. K. Chandraskatta is a character that appears in the novel, Debt of Honor
Biography
In 1995, Chandraskatta was a fleet commander in the Indian Navy. Allied with Raizo Yamata, he ordered the Indian carrier battle group under his command to provoke Admiral Mike Dubro in the Indian Ocean. Dubro was the commander of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and USS Abraham Lincoln and had been stationed in the Indian Ocean to prevent India from invading the neighboring country of Sri Lanka and annexing it. The incident was one of several that resulted in a war between Japan and the United States.
