Günther Bock
Günther Bock is a character that appears in the novel, The Sum of All Fears.
Biography
Bock was a member of the Red Army Faction alongside his wife, Petra Hassler-Bock. Following the collapse of Marxism, his wife was arrested and later committed suicide and their children were killed. This led Bock to go into hiding until 1991 when he learned that the Soviet Union had joined forces with the United States to combat terrorism. This motivated Bock to trigger a nuclear war between the U.S. and USSR by arranging a false-flag attack on American and Soviet forces in Berlin. Bock was later killed during the battle and was identified by German police.
