Hashimi Moussa is a character that appears in the novel, The Sum of All Fears.
Biography
Born in 1971, Moussa became a sociology student and traveled to Jerusalem in 1991 to be the leader of demonstrations at the Temple Mount. Bearing the physical scars from police beatings, he convinced the demonstrators not to enter the Temple Mount and adopt a peaceful protest. This resulted in Israel's loss of international sympathy after Moussa was killed by a police officer named Captain Benny Zadin during the demonstrations.
