Spassky is a character that appears in the film, The Sum of All Fears.
Biography
In 2002, Spassky worked as a nuclear weapons scientist specializing in nuclear cores at the top Russian nuclear weapons facility. In September 2002, Spassky and coworkers Milinov and Orlov were hired by Derek Olson to reconstruct a nuclear bomb that had been recovered from Golan Heights, Syria. The bomb was reconstructed by them at an old Soviet military base in Ukraine. After confirming the bomb's functionality to Olsen, Spassky and his coworkers were killed by him and the bomb was taken and shipped to Baltimore, Maryland. Their bodies were later found by John Clark who had previously taken reconnaissance of the location while Spassky was speaking outside with Olson.
