Wesson
Wesson is a character that appears in the film, The Sum of All Fears.
Biography
In 2002, he was a member of the Air Force Radiation Assessment Team (AFRAT) led by Lorna Shiro that analyzed the plutonium used in the nuclear bomb that detonated in Baltimore. CIA officer Jack Ryan arrived at the AFRAT command center and met with Shiro to ask for the origin of the bomb's plutonium. This led Shiro to call Wesson and Stubbs for a status update. Wesson told Shiro that at only a quarter mile away from ground zero, the radiation intensity was too great for their gear. Shiro tells them head back as she uses a drone to collect samples. After Wesson and Stubbs arrive back at the command post, they conclude the bomb's plutonium was manufactured at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina in 1968, proving that the Russians were not involved in the attack.
