Charlie Hollister is a character that appears in the Rainbow Six novel. He was the superintendent that oversaw the construction of the Horizon Corporation's secret compound in Kansas known as "Olympus".

Biography

Charlie Hollister worked as a superintendent for large scale construction projects. He earned a reputation for completing projects early and under budget after overseeing the construction of two skyscrapers in New York City, an oil refinery in Delaware, an amusement park in Ohio, and two housing projects. In 1997, Hollister was contracted by the Horizon Corporation to construct a large compound in Kansas for $300 million dollars.

The project called for worker housing, office buildings, labs, farmland, power plant, fuel-tank farm, and aquifers that could accommodate at least three thousand people. Every facility would also house state-of-the-art environmental-control systems capable of keeping any foreign agent out of them. Unbeknownst to Hollister, the compound would be used by Horizon to wait out the Shiva virus once they unleashed the virus and decimate the world's population.

Twnety-five months later in 1999, the project was close to completion. Hollister was determined to complete it early in order to secure a bonus to take his family on a vacation to Disney World and to stop working for a few years. Hollister accomplished his goal a few months later and finished the project two and a half weeks earlier than he had originally promised. Horizon CEO John Brightling arrived at the site for the final inspection. Afterwards, Hollister handed Brightling the master key and the site was named "Olympus".

Trivia
