Captain Will Garnet is a character that appears in Rainbow Six.
Biography
Will Garnet is a former member of the US Air Force and works as a 777 pilot for United Airlines. In 1999, Garnet was the pilot for an international flight to Heathrow Airport in London when three terrorists hijacked the plane. The men were targeting the Spanish ambassador to Washington D.C. and ordered Garnet and his First Officer Renford to redirect the flight to Lajes in the Azores in Portugal. Luckily, the terrorists had bad information and discovered that only the ambassador's wife was aboard the flight. Additionally, John Clark, Alistair Stanley, and Domingo Chavez were also aboard the flight.
The three men easily subdued the amateur terrorists and tied them up. Clark informed Garnet to land at RCAF Gander as it was the nearest military airfield. Garnet responded by asking Clark who he was, only to be told he was "just a guy who wanted to help out". Clark then requested to use Garnet's radio which was granted. Afterwards, Garnet, dissatisfied with the previous answer, again asked Clark who he was. Clark then told him that they were sky marshals who had happened to be onboard during the hijacking. Garnet was hesitant to believe Clark but thanked him for saving the plane all the same.
