"My orders are to give you full cooperation—within reason, of course."
— Marius Roebling

Marius Roebling is a character that appears in Rainbow Six.

Biography

Roebling is a senior police officer in the police department of Dern, Switzerland. In 1999, a botched robbery at a commercial bank led by Ernst Model resulted in a hostage situation. Dern police attempted to negotiate with the terrorists but the situation soon escalated, resulting in the death of a hostage. This prompted the Swiss Government to allow Rainbow to intervene. Upon their arrival at the airport, Roebling met Team 2 at the airport.

Roebling briefed Team 2 of the situation and told of the terrorist's new demand for transport to the airport and a flight out of the country. Roebling then told them that there were four terrorists inside the bank. This was confirmed by Hans Richter who was one of the hostages that was forced to drag the body outside the bank before he was escorted to safety. After Team 2 finished gearing up, Roebling gave each team member a POLIZEI pull over to hide Rainbow's presence onsite.

Once Team 2 arrived at the bank, Chavez had Roebling speak with the news stations in order to distract the terrorists, who presumably had access to televisions. As Team 2 was planning their assault, Model called Roebling to further emphasize their demands, less they start killing more hostages. Tim Noonan took Roebling's phone and attached a small circuit board to it, allowing Chavez to listen in to the call. A short time later, Model became fed up and decided to kill another hostage. Before he could, however, Chavez signaled Team 2 to breach, ending the threat without any complications.
