Kirk Maclean
Kirk Maclean is a character that appears in Rainbow Six. An employee of the Horizon Corporation, he was tasked with kidnapping young women in New York City to be used as test subjects for the Shiva virus
Biography
Kirk Maclean graduated from the University of Delaware. A firm believer in conservation, he also joined Earth First! and the Sierra Club. At some point, Maclean was hired as a biochemist at the Horizon Corporation. He also started attending the University of Colombia to work on his doctorate.
Rainbow Six
In 1999, John Brightling tasked Horizon scientists to work on the development of the Shiva virus so that he could fulfill his dream of wiping out most of humanity to end pollution once and for all. Dr. John Killgore and Dr. Barbara Archer were the lead researchers responsible for testing the effects of the virus on human subjects. Maclean was one of the men responsible for abducting homeless men and transporting them to Killgore's lab for testing. The initial results proved the virus to be effective but were unreliable due to the test subjects having long histories of alcoholism and other preexisting conditions.
In order to obtain healthy test subjects that would better represent the human population as a whole, Maclean was tasked with kidnapping young women in New York City. He did this by meeting them at bars and offering to take them home once they had become extremely intoxicated. As was the case with Mary Bannister and Anne Pretloe, Maclean took his victims to secluded points, drugged them, and transferred them to another truck to be taken to Killgore's lab.
