Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Wilson Gearing is a character that appears in the Rainbow Six novel. He is a member of Global Security and as well "the Project" which sought to unleash the Shiva virus
Biography
Wilson Gearing previously served as an expert in chemical weapons in the United States Army Chemical Corps. He later retired from the military and was hired by Global Security Systems. Gearing was among the select individuals recruited into John Brightling's Project to save humanity by destroying it with the Shiva virus. In 1999, Gearing was tasked by Global Security CEO Bill Henriksen to deliver Shiva to the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia in order to unleash the virus.
